Our Purpose And What We Believe…

Our primary purpose at First Baptist Church – Linden is to reach our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We believe the Bible to be the inerrant Word of God and that true happiness and eternal life can only be found by following what God’s Word has to say.

We believe that there is only one way to eternal life and that is through the atoning death of Jesus Christ upon the cross for our sins.

We believe that to receive eternal life you must respond to God’s call on your heart through faith in Jesus Christ.

First Baptist Church of Linden, TN, is a fellowship seeking to encounter and respond to the presence of God through worship, prayer, and bible study which provides guidance for the application of biblical truths. We seek to win the lost to faith in our Lord and Savior and minister to the needs of people in love and compassion in the name of Jesus Christ.

We affirm the Holy Bible as the inspired inerrant word of God and the basis for our beliefs. We subscribe to the doctrinal statement of the “The Baptist Faith and Message” as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention.

We voluntarily join together as a body of baptized believers in Jesus Christ, personally committed to sharing the Good News of salvation to lost mankind through obedience to Christ’s commission as stated in Matthew 28:19-20.
